Louisa Necib

Louisa Necib (born 23 January 1987) is a French football player of Algerian descent who plays for French club Olympique Lyonnais of the Division 1 Féminine. She plays as an attacking midfielder and described as a "gifted playmaker" who "possesses superb technique". Necib has been labeled by the French media as the female Zinedine Zidane, primarily due to having an Algerian background, growing up in Marseille like Zidane, and having immense skill. She is a French women's international having made her debut with the team in February 2005 in a match against Norway.

Necib made her international debut for France on 19 February 2005 in a friendly match against Norway. After going two years without scoring, on 11 April 2007, she scored her first international goal in a 6–0 victory over Greece in qualification of UEFA Women's Euro 2009. Necib later scored another qualification goal in a 8–0 win over Serbia. In qualification for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, she scored two goals; one in a 12–0 win over Estonia and another in a 6–0 victory against Northern Ireland as France qualified for its second FIFA Women's World Cup. On 19 November 2010, Necib scored her first international double in a 5–0 win over Poland. On 26 June 2011, in France's opening World Cup group stage match against Nigeria, Necib, on her competition's debut, was named the Player of the Match for her performance in the team's 1–0 victory.
