Ever since she ever knew she was the very active, sportive kind of kid. she had endless energy resources and she loved sports. she began with some track when she was 12 years old. she didn’t do competitions in track and field but in summer holidays she used to train 2 times a day, about 3 hours each time. she loved to sprint and didn’t like the long distance races. Starting with 15 she started to attend aerobics classes and she loved the fitness part of it, working with weights. At 18 she entered the gym in her native town just to keep fit and lose some weight. That was the moment she fell in love with bodybuilding. she remember, upon starting to go to the little gym in her quiet native town, she began to read the little thin bodybuilding magazines that she could find on the Romanian market at that time.
The competition movement in Romanian bodybuilding was kind of poor at that time, but she remember one girl in the gym getting ready for a National Junior Championship…and she admit she felt admiration for her and she wished she had her muscles . she kept on training for the next two years until one day she entered another gym in another town, where she was a student, and the trainer there saw her potential and suggested to her,she should train to compete. she ’ll never forget how honored she felt…and how happy. So she guess she would have liked to compete but she didn’t manage tillshe got someone to support her and help her.
she train 5 days a week, one muscle group a day; she train heavy all the time, except for the legs that she train with low weight but high reps when she get ready for a competition. Usually in off season she try to stay as little as possible in the gym, like 50 minutes or 1 hour maximum and work with high intensity. The main differences between training in off season and training for a competition is, that she change the diet , train her legs with higher reps and also perform some cardio, any type, except she hate to run.
